POLICY ON ADVERTISING SIGNAGE IN THE VILLAGE
For all events which are of benefit to the village, such as the Farmers’ Market,
Yalding Farmers’ Market and events at the Old School Hall, signs can go up a week before the event and should be removed 24 hours afterwards. Signs should look professional and should not be placed on the “triangle” at the top of Station Hill.
Council reserves the right to remove any signs which remain beyond these timescales.
Signs for the Village Fete, the School Christmas Fair, the West Farleigh Fireworks (or any other annual Farleighs event) can go up three weeks beforehand and the other restrictions listed above apply.
Council will not sanction any signs which are advertising a business (such as ones for fruit or fruit picking) and reserves the right to remove them.
Council hopes that this satisfies the various needs among groups in the village, whilst also keeping the village looking reasonably tidy.
