Update – February 2024
We’re upgrading our Gas Network – Farleigh Lane Area, Maidstone
We are writing to give you an update about our project to upgrade our gas network in the Farleigh Lane area of Maidstone.
In consultation with Kent County Council our contractor, WCB Utilities, who are completing this project on our behalf, will return to continue work on this project, starting in Terminus Road in the week beginning 19 February.
To keep everyone safe while we are working, we will need to close some of the roads around our works area. While the roads are closed, there will be signed diversion routes in place and access will be kept for residents and businesses.
Farleigh Lane – From 4 March with an estimated end date of 8 April. We will be working from the junction with Glebe Lane to the junction with Tonbridge Road. Farleigh Lane will be closed around our works area.
Glebe Lane From 4 March with an estimated end date of 15 March. Glebe Lane will be closed at its junction with Farleigh Lane
We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, the new plastic pipe has a lifespan of 80 years. This means that once our work is done, Maidstone residents and businesses will be able to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable supply of gas for many years to come.
